New York Fashion Week is coming! But before we indulge in Fall 2013 fashion trends that will be showcased in the runway, let's take a peak on some of the designer's sketches and inspirations.
Dennis Basso
“My 30th anniversary collection is a tribute to the great American fashion icons. Women such as Babe Paley, Gloria Guinness and Milicent Rogers embody the glamour, strength and elegance that has inspired me throughout my career.”
BCBGMAXAZRIA
“Mystery of Istanbul.”
Herve Leger By Max Azria
“Opulence in nature.”
Rachel Roy
"Global artistic expression informs the modern exotic with re-imagined shape, color and texture."
Rebecca Taylor
"Fall 2013 silhouettes are modern and clean with organic architectural embellishments, colorblocking and fabric mixing. Soft silks both opaque and sheer with subtle textures are contrasted with modern structured tailoring and leather to create tension and balance. Prints are textural and graphic composed with a color palette grounded in muted neutrals and accented with blushy pinks, cognacs and scarlet."
Tracy Reese
"The collection is very much inspired by New York with all its harshness and beauty. It combines a variety of rich textures and both feral and romantic patterns for a collection of sexy silhouettes with an emphasis on hourglass dresses, longer slim skirts, sweater tunics and bold, meaty jackets and coats. Black in all of its magnificence, from deep velvety darkness to textured patent refraction, anchors a palette highlighted by scarlet, cerise, teal, aubergine, tan and lychee. With a strong dress presence in this season's collection, a classic and flattering Floral Frock in Scarlet is embellished with delicate beading and paired with a flat closed-toe bootie to create a timeless and modern, yet easy-to-wear look."
Saunder
"Saunder's Fall/Winter 2013 collection was inspired by 1970s rock'n'roll. I used a lot of rich colors and textures to reflect the depth of the music and found modern ways to reflect the feeling of the era."
Pamella Roland
"For Fall 2013, I was inspired by the ornate interior of the winter palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia."
Daniel Vosovic
"For AW13 I was looking at the structure and texture of beautiful aquatic flora and fauna, using it as a jumping off point for a color story and embroidery.”

When Stephanie Meyer's fame for Twilight series hit the Philippines, I can say that I am one of the book lovers who got hooked with the series. Although I am not so happy with how the saga ended, I was still excited about the much-anticipated Twilight movie. But before Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) hit the big screen, let's take a look at the movie's fashion guide. Basing on the descriptions from the novel and considering the budget for the film, the movie's costume designer, Wendy Chuck made a lot of effort to dress the characters with a right look for the film. According to her, the characters' outfits were from Loehmann's, Nordstrom Rack, Internet outlets and local Portland shops Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen His style is formed by a mix of American Apparel T-shirts, jackets from G-Star, H&M shirts, Chimala jeans, and A-life sneakers or vintage boots. According to Chuck, the only high-end item in the film was Edward
