Do you remember about my post about Kylie Minogue's fashionable US tour costumes by Jean Paule Gaultier? Well, those costume designs were indeed seen at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Kylie sported those Lady-Gaga-style costumes as she performed in front of the stage.

Actually those costumes were design for KylieX2008 tour so this predates GaGa by a couple of years. So she didn't dress up like Gaga. Just saying

Basing on the descriptions from the novel and considering the budget for the film, the movie's costume designer, Wendy Chuck made a lot of effort to dress the characters with a right look for the film.
