When I was a child, I can still remember my Mom would always wear her favorite 3 or 4 inches high heels to gain a little height, have a more appealing silhoutte and improve her posture.
But from my observation on the recent fashion weeks, shoes have become taller with 5 to 6 or even 7-inch heels and platforms. Aside from the height, the shoes have become expensive also. They range from $100 versions sold by Steve Madden to between $600 and $1,500 from designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Marni, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin. They come in an various shapes too such as spiky stilettos, tapered cones, sloping wedges and thick wooden posts.
The heels are becoming disastrous to many. During Prada's spring 2009 fashion show, two models fell down on the runway while others stumbled as they walked in high shoes designed by Miuccia Prada.
But instead of rejecting the extreme heels, many women can't seem to get enough of them. Checkout some of the skyscrapers shoes as seen on the runways.

According to her, the characters' outfits were from Loehmann's, Nordstrom Rack, Internet outlets and local Portland shops Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen His style is formed by a mix of American Apparel T-shirts, jackets from G-Star, H&M shirts, Chimala jeans, and A-life sneakers or vintage boots. According to Chuck, the only high-end item in the film was Edward
