Today marks the 109th year of the proclamation of Philippine independence, a day where all Filipinos can proudly tell the world what they have become in terms of democracy and competence.

Some may think that Filipinos don't actually have an "Identity" due to the confusion of our mixed races from Hispanic, Chinese, American and Malay origins. But, Filipinos have made their mark as an optimistic race, with a positive disposition despite difficulties and uncertainties. Thus, in spite of being confronted with crisis, the Filipinos would never be put down but would always find a way to resolve the problem.

As we commemorate the 109th year of Philippine independence, have a glimpse of our colorful and lively culture through Filipiniana gowns designed by Pitoy Moreno - Asia's Fashion Czar.
